1-800-Hotline Spring! I spent a total of 4 weeks out on the road working with Australian indie rock band The Griswolds during their co-headline Hotline Spring Tour with Magic Man. The tour started back in April in North Carolina to a sold out crowd, from there we went to Philadelphia, DC, Boston, NYC, Providence, Detroit, Cleveland, and my last show was in Columbus. The first few weeks were a blast, all of the shows had great crowds! We were in NYC for a few days and believe it or not it was my first time ever going to New York, so I spent our whole off day in the city exploring as much as possible. The morning of the first NYC show we went to Billboard's office, me being a music photographer I was really excited to get to see it! Walking around the halls seeing massive prints of past Billboard Magazine covers on the wall was very inspiring.
Unfortunately I couldn't stay out on the road with them for the whole tour, missing some key cities on the tour like Portland, San Fran, San Diego, and LA that I wish I hadn't. I caught back up with the tour when they came to Nashville and stayed on the last week and a half. After Nashville we went to Atlanta, Gulf Shores, St. Pete, Orlando, and Ft. Lauderdale. We were in Gulf Shores for 4 days for Hangout Music Festival. Hangout was an amazing weekend, I plan on going back to the festival year after year to photograph if I'm able to. After Hangout, we went to Florida and sadly it came down to the end of the tour. I'm very thankful to have been apart of such an amazing tour with an amazing tour family! Thank you Danny, Chris, Tim and Lucky for being so welcoming to me and I'm excited for the future and working on more tours together!
Before this tour started I have never herd of the band Magic Man, but after this tour I cant stop listening to them! It was great to share the time out of the road with the whole Magic Man family! I'm really excited for their new album to come out, there's a lot of amazing tracks on it!
