For those who don't know, the city of Nashville has like 2 snow plows (not sure if that's an accurate number or not but just go with it) so whenever it snows, even 1/4in, the city basically shuts down. This morning when I woke up, there were 5 beautiful fresh inches of snow covering as far as the eye could see all thanks to Winter Storm Jonas. The snow continued through out the day, I think the total accumulation was probably around 8 or 9 inches, the most Nashville has had in a long time. After laying in bed until noon I decided I wanted to go out and take some pictures around the city. I ended up walking from my house all the way to downtown, walk around downtown, and then walk all the way back to my house. In total, I walked a little over 10 miles today. Thats a lot of walking in general, but in about 6 inches of snow it was quite a trek. I felt as if I was working my way up to the summit of Everest. It really wasn't that bad until about the last mile before I got home, I started thinking maybe I should just crawl home, but I made it back. I have a feeling I will spend the whole day tomorrow in bed since my whole body is already aching. I don't really regret it though, today was a complete adventure and I'm glad I ended up going on the crazy 10 mile city hike and didn't waste my snow day off work laying in bed all day.
Here all the photos I took today throughout my journey!
